We all had an absolutely tremendous time at our second ever Friends of Whitehall Park School Summer Fete. Although the sun didn’t shine, the weather held fair and this helped us all to have a truly amazing time! It was wonderful to see so many smiley, happy faces as everyone enjoyed the various different activities, stalls and entertainment.
The site looked absolutely incredible with beautiful flowers kindly donated by Burberry, along with wonderful home made bunting and decorations. We have never seen the school looks so gorgeous —thank you to everyone who helped make it look so gorgeous! Not bad for a temporary school site! The incredible hard work of everyone who helped out meant that not only did the adults enjoy a range of different stalls, including (to name but a few) the delicious Cream teas, the sumptuous barbecue, the wonderful Anscombe and Ringland bar, the fantastic raffle, the supremely organised second hand stall, the scrumptious international food stall and much much more.
For the children the face painting was a great hit and the children loved all the games and fun activities to do, as well as the Bouncey Castle, Penalty Shootout, Tin can alley and all the other fun activities available.
Weeks of preparation went into the event and I know from talking to people that everyone was super impressed with how well organised, planned and prepared the event was. This amazing event was only possible because of the hard work, enthusiasm and dedication of a large number of parents, family members and the local community, with the guidance and support of the PTCA committee and class representatives. To everyone who helped out before, during and after the event, can we please say a HUGE THANK YOU!
We have a new tradition at Whitehall Park School—each year children in Reception create their very own tea towels with images of themselves, their classmates and their teachers on them. These once in a lifetime tea towels are available in the office for just £5.00 and are a wonderful memento to treasure forever as well as making a fantastic gift. So why not stock up for birthday and Christmas presents? Please pop into the office to buy one of these fabulous tea towels!
We are also extremely pleased to announce that Max’s dad Matt has very kindly said that we can offer for sale the large flower displays that were kindly donated by Burberry. These wonderful displays are mounted on Perspex sheets and can be put up on any wall or surface—they would look wonderful in a child’s bedroom.
