In Year 4, we dressed up in our favourite spotty clothes and became artists for the day. First, we created intricate masks focusing on improving our colouring skills keeping the motion of the pencils in the same direction and keeping within the lines.
After that, we looked at a piece of artwork by Wassily Kandinsky called ‘Concentric Circles’. We used brightly coloured card and scissors to create a pattern and experimented with different colour combinations.
Finally, we painted our Wassily Kandinsky inspired drawings by listening to a piece of music and creating a range of shapes and colours to portray emotions and feelings during the session.
