Whitehall Park Pear Pressing

On Friday 25th September, we celebrated one of our favourite authors, Roald Dahl by holding our Dahlicious Day and in the afternoon we celebrated our first birthday by inviting families into the school to take part in our party activities. Gemma came to the school in the morning and worked with a team of parent volunteers to collect pears from our trees to press and make fresh Pear Juice for the party. It was delicious and fresh and the children were able to join in with helping with the pressing. We were lucky enough to have John, a tree surgeon come and help us by climbing the trees to help us to collect the pears.

Thank you to all the group and parent volunteers for your help!
