Year 1 take a trip to St Andrew’s Church

Year 1 took a visit this week to St Andrew’s Church, Whitehall Park as part of their topic on ‘local community’. They walked from school, and heard from Rev. Steve Clarke about the history of the church, learning about the structure and important areas of the church before they took a tour which included finding the font.

‘Little Wandle’ our NEW Phonics and Reading Resources

We are delighted to share the arrival of our new phonics resources ‘Little Wandle’. These are the decodable books which run alongside the relevant phonics. Every child on the scheme will do 30 minutes phonics and then 30 minutes reading, in their phonic group.
