Year 1 – Brazilian Carnival

Families, friends, children and teachers gathered yesterday afternoon to witness our first ever Whitehall Park Brazilian Carnival. The children in year 1 have been learning about Brazil and life in the rainforest surrounding the Amazon. They have learnt about traditions within the Brazilian culture and throughout the term they have prepared masks, drumming sequences and dances to showcase their learning. …
