SARAH NASH

Sarah Nash joined the team at Whitehall Park School as an Early Years Teaching Assistant and works across both Reception classes. As an ambitious, dedicated and experienced practitioner who dreams to become a teacher, she is a great asset to the team. Sarah is passionate about education and has many years’ experience working in state funded schools in the Inner city of London. She has worked across all age ranges from Nursery to Year 6. In her most recent role Sarah specialised in supporting learning for children in Reception and Year 1.

Before joining Whitehall Park School, Sarah was able to build up her experience in a range of core aspects of teaching, including planning and carrying out purposeful interventions; teaching small groups of children for phonics, literacy and mathematics. Sarah also has utilised effective observation methods, as well as assessment for learning techniques in order to identify children’s strengths and next steps which has enabled children within her care to make exceptional progress. All of the experience that Sarah gained was able to make significant difference to the children that she worked with.

Sarah is currently studying Education: Primary Pathway 4-11 and will hopefully be undertaking her Initial Teacher Training next year to become a Qualified Teacher. Her ambition is to be a part of the Whitehall Park teaching team!

Qualifications:

  • GCSE A*-C in English literature, English Language, Mathematics and Science (double)
  • Diploma in Teaching Assistant level 3
  • BA (Hons) in Education: Primary Pathway 4-11 (ongoing)

“As we approach the the end of our first year,  I can truly say that it has been a magnificent start to an amazing journey ahead for Whitehall park school. Our first reception class children have made so much progress in the past six months and are beginning to flourish into independent learners ready for year one. I am so proud to have been here from the beginning!
As well as the children, the team and parents are fabulous to work with and the sense of community is astonishing! I have learned so much through working as a small team. The importance of team work and pulling together has been a significant tool for success during this journey and I am so glad to work with such amazing people.
