Rahela Begum is our long term cover teacher who supports teaching and learning across the school and is proud to be with us right from the start of our journey! Previously, Rahela has for the NHS supporting and educating diabetic patients in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. This built up her passion for teaching and learning. After this, Rahela became a mentor to secondary aged children with a range of skills and needs. She supported students in lesson times and extended their learning by planning individual lessons tailored to their needs. These experiences provided Rahela with the knowledge and skills needed to apply for a PGCE in Primary education. Rahela worked with a team of teachers at a school in Hackney where she gained Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Since this, Rahela has been working as a supply teacher to schools across North and East London.
“I love working at Whitehall Park School and I have developed good relationships with the children. We have such a lovely atmosphere and the children love coming to school. I am so proud to be part of making this school a huge success.”
