For one day only Master Domjan became head teacher for the day and with the help of his able Deputy Head, Albie Smith the school was taken over by the children! Master Domjan came up with a brilliant theme for his day which raised money for the World Wildlife Fund through their Wear it Wild initiative.
We all had an absolutely fantastic day, which we combined with our learning about Black History month. Throughout the day children had an amazing time learning all about what we can do to protect our World, the environment and the endangered animals within it. Rafael has summarised his experience (in his own words!) below…
“On Friday the 20th of October I was head teacher for the day. On the day the kids learnt African drumming, dancing and storytelling. We also dressed up as endangered animals. Everybody also donated money all together we raised 200£ which will all go to WWF which will support endangered animals.
We had a lot of fun making Miss Birkett do all sorts of jobs. We also made a hole teem which includes Albi=assistant head. I loved being Head teacher and I think everyone else also enjoyed it. Don’t forget that if you want to you can sign up to WWF and adopted an endangered animal and support WWF If you are interested in signing up to WWF just go to their web page and you can adopt an animal for only £5 a month. I hope you all are excited to go back to school don’t forget to sign up to WWF.
Thank you Miss Birkett for the best day ever! “
