Linda Trapnell has been a teacher for 45 years across all phases of education, mainly in inner city settings. She managed Early Years settings from scratch including project managing the building work. For 10 years, she was a Primary Head Teacher and since 2002 has operated as an independent consultant.
She developed an interest in Thinking Skills and has become a recognised expert in the field. She is regularly asked to speak at International Conferences and has spoken over the last 8 years to Education and Business Conferences in London, Los Angeles, Seattle, Florida, Detroit, Warsaw, Mexico and Kuala Lumpur.
Linda is now promoting the teaching of Thinking Skills, Team Working and Conflict Resolution in education and business; training teachers and company employees in a variety of settings. She also specialises in teaching Leadership and Management skills across the UK, Europe, S E Asia and in the Middle East.
She was Chair of Governors at a small Independent 3-16yrs school for 10 years. She resigned in 2015 due to relocation.
She is the “expert” on Governance for a Hotseat session in an online course Leading in Independent Schools (LIS), which is Nationally recognised.
Linda is currently a Member of a newly formed Multi Academy Trust based at Thames View Infant Academy in Barking, where she has been Mentor to the Head Teacher for 10 years.
